    Collex Rochester Auto Body Shop

(Transportation-News.com, January 11, 2013 ) Rochester, MI – Collex Collision Experts are proud of the work that they do through Wheels of Hope, a non-profit organization that gives back to the communities where their auto body shops are located and the Rochester auto body shop is proud to be a part of such great program. Their mission is to “create good will at the local level by uniting company staff, city officials, and local businesses to help deserving families by giving them a “like-new” vehicles.” For more information on Wheels of HOPE, visit http://www.collexcollision.com/ or call 888-426-5539.

Wheels of HOPE has delivered HOPE to many families since 2005. Their goal is simply to repair damaged vehicles at one of their auto body repair facilities, bringing them back to “like-new” condition, and then give them to deserving families that are in desperate need of transportation. Their Primary candidates are working single parents.

In 2006, Wheels of HOPE gave away its first two vehicles. The following year the program was expanded by doubling the number of vehicles given away. Collex Collision acquires the vehicles various sources: some are purchased by Collex Collision and others are donated by groups or individuals.

Collex Collision’s certified auto body technicians donate their time and professional skills to bring the vehicles to a “like-new” condition. When these vehicles are donated to the deserving families, they bring back HOPE and thus the name given was “Wheels of HOPE” Here is how the process works:

First, deserving individuals in need of a vehicle are identified with the help from reliable, local, non-profit organizations. Choosing a worthy recipient is of utmost importance. There is a stringent application and selection process. Collex’s goal is to identify individuals who want to improve their lives and be self-supporting members of society.

Second, the vehicles are purchased by Collex Collision Experts, donated by an organization or and individual. Teams of Collex Collision auto body repair staff donate their time and skills to bring the vehicle to safe, “like-new” condition.

Third, because owning a vehicle can be a financial burden, Wheels of HOPE calls on local business and city officials seeking donations to purchase vehicle insurance coverage, car parts, fuel gift cards, oil changes, car washes, and other needs. A tax-deductible receipt is sent to all donators.we

Finally, Wheels of HOPE surprises their chosen families with balloons, flowers, and the news they have been selected. Then they host an event to present them with their “like-new” vehicle as well as meet the many individuals who helped make this special day possible. This event is gratifying for all who attend.
