(Transportation-News.com, January 08, 2014 ) Vancouver, BC -- Vehicular Technologies today announced that the recent launch of its first direct-to-consumer product performed above expectations in 2013. In the major shopping run up to Christmas, the microfiber cloth product had strong sales, indicating there is room for another major player in the automotive aftermarket industry.
"We were more than pleased," said Michael Blackmore, co-founder of Vehicular Technologies. "This is a very competitive space, and we proved that we can get more than our toe wet with this first entry product."
Vehicular Technologies produces environmentally friendlier, technologically advanced products that it claims are less harmful to the environment. Its first consumer-direct product, a car or truck drying towel is created with the latest manufacturing techniques, resulting in a microfiber cloth that absorbs water much better than traditional cotton rags or leather chamois, states the company's website.
The company partnered with Amazon, and its large network of fulfillment centers spread across the United States, in order to bring consistently fast shipping times to customer deliveries. Blackmore says they had very few problems getting the product out to consumers quickly, in spite of some major snowstorms that hit large parts of the USA in early winter months.
"We have decided to continue dramatic sale pricing into January, so that people who missed the pre-Christmas bargain can have a second chance to try our towel", said Blackmore. There were no Grinches in the works this holiday season, he notes, but he wants to "extend the spirit of the season" with deep discounts for all US-based customers. Says Blackmore: "more people trying our product will always lead to more happy customers and their friends and families."
