Victoria, Australia -- Pure Performance Motorsport has just announced that they have launched an altruistic fundraiser on the Indiegogo website. The company, which manufactures high performance connecting rods and crankshafts, is aiming to raise enough money to save ACL Bearings via Pure Performance Motorsport.
ACL has been a well-known company in Australia for years, starting back in 1922 when Geoff Russell began to manufacture engine parts for Australia’s blossoming automotive industry. Russell’s business became the base for Repco Ltd. In 1986, the ACL Group acquired a group of businesses from Repco Ltd. The ACL Group now has annual sales of $50 million and employs 170 people.
When the staff at Pure Performance Motorsport heard that ACL Bearings was considering closing, due to financial troubles and mis-management, they decided to do what they could to save the company. As a spokesperson from Pure Performance Motorsport explained, the company is devoted to saving the ACL Race Engine Bearing Company from closure.
In an article that accompanies the Indiegogo fundraiser, the spokesperson describes the company as a “state of the art research and manufacturing facility all made 100 percent in Australia.”
“We are determined to try to save this company from closure as these are the best Engine Bearings money can buy and known worldwide for their toughness and quality,” the spokesperson from Pure Performance Motorsport noted in the article, adding that the parts that are manufactured by ACL Race Engine Bearing Company are of the highest quality.
