The AS9100 standard is founded on the ISO2008 quality system and requires an organization to meet additional specific aviation, space and defense requirements in order to be certified. This certification allows manufacturers and suppliers to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and regulatory requirements, as well as enhance customer satisfaction through continual improvement processes.
