Safety Seat Sunshade Video Review For Freddie And Sebbie

(Transportation-News.com, December 19, 2014 ) Las Vegas, NV -- Michigan lawmakers have been making progress for passing a bill to update the current child safety seat laws. Part of the bill is focused on rear-facing car seat rules, whereby children under 2 or who weigh less than 30 pounds if older, would be required to be placed in a rear-facing position on Michigan roads.

According to WILX News, the new bill updates want safety seat requirements legislation to be based on advice given by pediatricians and the federal government, saying that previously Michigan law only required children to be properly restrained til 4, and in booster seats til 8. The media source explains that with new legislation being passed, children weighing less than 30 pounds or under the age of 2 would have to be positioned in rear-facing safety seat, meaning children between 30 and 50 pounds from 2 til 4 years of age, would have to be placed in a front-facing safety seat.

Child security awareness groups have also been speaking out with Injury Prevention Coordinator Jennifer Ritter saying... "If you're forward facing, your head, your neck, and your spine are going forward whereas adults, that's where we would get whiplash, but for an infant, if they're rear-facing, that vehicle, that car seat helps ride down the crash so it almost catches them like a catcher's mitt, and helps them absorb that energy, so their bodies are not absorbing energy."

Many groups are currently reaching out and informing their communities about the importance of knowing what a life-saver a safety seat can really be. EMSC Administrator Marlene Carbullido says... "We need to encourage parents to ensure that they transport their children by the safest means possible especially during holidays when there are more cars on the road." Parents were given some great advice by OHS Child Passenger Safety Instructor Therese Matanane, who said... "The harness strap should always be tight enough so you can't actually pinch it, and always make sure the retainer clip is at the armpit level" Both EMSC and OHS recently gave safety seat demonstrations, where they handed out pamphlets with helpful information to parents.

Safe Kids USA has revealed that 73% of safety seats aren't used or installed properly, and telling parents to always check safety seats before heading out in the car. Neil Speight, Co-director of Nevada based accessory company "Freddie and Sebbie," says that one things that's has not been discussed yet is the danger of hot safety seats leaving many babies with nasty burns. He added... "If a car is left parked in the blazing sunlight, the safety seat will heat up to temperatures that can produce serous scolding to small children. To prevent this from happening, parents just need to protect the safety seat with a specially made sunshade. The safety seat sunshade by Freddie and Sebbie is guaranteed to safeguard children from getting their sensitive skin burnt by hot buckles or the safety seat itself, having been designed to cool down and protect safety seats from the heat of the sun."
