"One of the main issues we found with hose gauges was air leaking from the hose itself where it meets the top of the gauge. This is a common fault with a lot of hose gauges because when the hose is bent this is the weakest point and obviously leads to inaccurate pressure readings. To combat this we have undertaken two modifications, firstly we use a double skinned hose made up of a synthetic hose encased with a re-enforced rubber hose. Secondly, at the point where the hose meets the gauge most gauges have a short metal insert to join the two together. We have used a brass insert that is a third longer than other inserts to make sure air cannot leak out and an accurate pressure reading can be made."
Some of the other additional qualities the gauge comprises of include a longer chrome plated rotating chuck to enable a secure fitting to me made on valve stems, a pressure holding feature allowing a reading to stay on the dial even when the gauge is removed from the valve stem and a large easy to view 0-60psi dial.
