(Transportation-News.com, September 25, 2015 ) Clearwater, Florida -- PrimeEffects has announced a new color option for their Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn. The Screaming Banshee is an electric air horn that connects into the existing motorcycle or scooter horn system, providing additional volume on demand. It is intended for use in emergency situations to get the attention of other drivers on the road. The available color prior to this announcements has been black.
"The horn unit is very small," says Philip Jepsen, CEO of PrimeEffects. "It fits in the palm of your hand, and tucks away into any small, available area you have on the bike or scooter. Usually this is in the engine bay. Black has been fine as a color, but customers have asked for variety and so we're offering chrome as an option. Between black and chrome customers now have an option that will fit well in most every case."
The Screaming Banshee Air Horn comes with all necessary wiring and hardware to connect into the existing horn system. Once connected, when the horn button is tapped the standard horn is activated. A prolonged press and the Screaming Banshee activates, giving off a warbling horn warning, rated at over 130 decibels. This is louder than most emergency sirens. At the same time the horn activates and flashes the motorcycle's high beams, adding a visual component to direct the attention of other drivers to the source of the sound.
"We've tested and this horn can be heard up to three blocks away, inside the closed cabin of a vehicle," says Mr. Jepsen. "When other drivers aren't paying attention, this is a great way to get noticed. For safety this horn is a must for motorcycle and scooter riders."
The Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn is available on Amazon in black or chrome.
