  • K&K Industries Adds Welding And Custom Assembly Capabilities To Service Offerings

    Laser Cutting Seattle

(Transportation-News.com, February 20, 2016 ) Bellingham, WA -- K&K Industries can now do TIG & MIG type welding of aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel. This capability compliments the recently expanded service of expedited prototype manufacturing. K&K can now deliver prototype parts in 3-5 days and follow-on production quantities in less than two weeks. Recently, K&K Industries, Inc. also added an additional 8500+ sq. ft. of manufacturing capacity via a new facility located in the South Puget Sound and also added new equipment & technology at that location.

K&K Industries offers Laser Cutting Seattle, Laser Cutting Northwest, Seattle Prototype Parts Manufacturing, Seattle Custom & Stock parts assembly and Welding Services plus custom sheet metal fabrication processes utilizing state-of-the-art dynamic nesting, lasers, turret punches, press brakes, hardware insertion machines, MIG., TIG and Spot Welders as well as a 4' wide graining machine. These capabilities enable K & K Industries to supply its customers with precision parts and assemblies, on time, every time.

The K&K Industries' lasers can cut up to a thickness of 1.0" for mild steel, 0.5" for stainless steel, and 0.25" for aluminum resulting in minimum parts handling downstream of the cutting operations and the addition of the extra shift optimizes usage.

K&K's Cincinnati Lasers employ rugged construction with fabricated plate steel frames that are twice as heavy as other types of laser cutting systems. The accuracy of its CNC laser exceeds most metal cutting requirements and ensures unmatched part quality.

The Dynamic Power Control accurately matches the required laser power to the desired feed rate for better edge condition and higher part accuracy. This allows machine or system components to be manufactured without expensive tooling or significant set-up time and expense. Thus, customers save even more money because the cut edges of the parts do not require additional finishing, and now customers can count on even quicker turnarounds for their parts.
