In 2002, Emmanuel Williams, founder and CEO of DetailXPerts, was sitting on his porch with his eight year old son, Emmanuel Junior. They watched cars go by while talking about the world and the environment. Emmanuel Junior had an epiphany and he said, “Hey Dad, why don’t your wash cars with steam?” This was the beginning of the eco-friendly auto detail business.
Emmanuel Senior was intrigued by his sonÂ’s query and as a good engineer does, he began experimenting until he perfected the process that he later patented. Once the technical aspects were in order, Emmanuel was joined by his wife, Angela, who took on the creation and testing of a business model that made economic sense. They opened the first DetailXPerts site in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2006.
After proving the business model successful, Emmanuel and Angela decided that this green business was going to fulfill one of their major callings in life – helping others achieve financial independence while creating jobs. After extensive research and consideration they decided that the win-win relationship inherent to franchising was the most appropriate vehicle to achieve their dream.
