The attorneys attempted to negotiate the case with the adjuster and decided to file the lawsuit after reaching a stonewall. The judge agreed to advance the case on the trial calendar in consideration of the clientÂ’s age. The personal injury case was settled within one year of the lawsuit having been filed.

The plaintiff was able to reach this settlement despite the accident reconstruction expertÂ’s deposition testimony that there was a possibility that the plaintiff ran the red light prior to the crash. The plaintiff sustained life-altering injuries resulting from the occurrence of blood clots following the crash.
Medical experts argued whether the plaintiffÂ’s blood clots were related to the crash and the defendantÂ’s medical expert claimed plaintiffÂ’s pre-existing medical conditions were the sole cause of her injuries. The mediator in the case noted this was the highest settlement he has ever seen in a low-impact motor vehicle collision case.
