That experience, and especially his friendship with one particular teenage girl named Esther helped inspire the main character for his new book.
In the new John Green book, his mission is to let everyone know that kids with stage-4 cancer as just as normal as any other kid. They are funny and full of life, but at the same time afraid of what their illness is doing to them. ItÂ’s a bold and raw story about Hazel, a teenage girl as she deals with her illness. ItÂ’s a heartbreaking tale of a young girlÂ’s journey of being alive and in love.
John Green, who is a young author with a huge social media following used that medium to his advantage. As soon as he announced the title of his new book, fans of his went wild on sites like Twitter and Tumblr which led to The Fault in Our Stars reaching top pre-order status for books on sites like Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
