  • Nook vs Kindle battle gets tougher with the launch of the Nook Tablet which competes against the Amazon Kindle Fire For Best eBook Reader

(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 15, 2011 ) CHAMPAIGN, IL -- The Nook vs Kindle Battle has been going on for quite a while now according to the creator of Best eBook Reader, Natalie James. It has been going on since the first Nook E-book reader was launched years ago. A few days ago this battle heated more as the latest Nook tablet was launched. The Nook Tablet from Barnes & Noble directly competes with the Kindle Fire from Amazon.

According to Natalie, "The key reason why people preferred the Nook Touch over the Kindle 3 was because of its touch screen. Almost everything around us has been evolving into a new generation." Latest TV’s, Tablet PC’s, Refrigerator’s, Mobile Phones and other electronic devices have a touch screen and now the eBook readers have them too. “The touch screen was precisely why people were inclined towards the Nook Touch over the Kindle 3” adds Natalie. Natalie does not believe that other elements, such as weight, size and battery life has any effect on this competition. “Any comparison of ebook readers will tell you features like battery life, size, weight and storage capacity are very similar among the top rated eReadrs” add Natalie.

However all this changed with Amazon launching their new range of Kindle eReaders one including a touch-screen. The Kindle Touch is now ranked by many online eReader comparisons above the Nook Touch based on several factors. The two main reasons are the audio features and 3G of the Kindle Touch which are features that cannot be found on the Nook Touch from Barnes & Noble. A comprehensive ereader comparison chart can be found on http://ereadercomparisonchart.org/ereader-comparison-chart-nook-kindle-kobo-ebook-reader-comparison/ says Natalie.

“The Nook Tablet that will be released on the November 17th is a completely different beast” says Natalie. Many reviewers of the view that the Kindle Fire was the iPad Killer, but now people are beginning to ask if the Nook tablet is going to a Fire extinguisher!
