  • AutoLoansWisconsin.com Reports Mini And Lexus Offer Top Buying Experiences

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 08, 2011 ) Madison, WI -- J.D. Power and Associates recently released the results of its customer satisfaction with vehicle buying process study. Mini took top honors for the second year in a row with Lexus nipping at its heels.

The yearly study looks at satisfaction among buyers and those who chose not to buy from a particular brand. The study evaluated buyers by four categories; working out the deal, salesperson, delivery process and dealership facility. Those who did not buy were evaluated across salesperson, fairness in price, facility, inventory and experience negotiating. negotiating.

The study also showed that customer satisfaction with the buying process improved over 2010, despite the buying process taking an average of 11 minutes longer. The extended buying process is mainly spent explaining advanced technology, so buyers are engaged during that time and not just sitting around for the loan process. ''Although technology demonstrations add time to the delivery process, those explanations substantially improve satisfaction, as well as customer loyalty and advocacy,'' said Jim Gaz, director of automotive research at J.D. Power and Associates.

As the economy improves and automakers compete for buyers, the buying experience may become the best front to battle on. After all, a bad experience with a salesperson or becoming frustrated during the loan approval phase are both major reasons that a person leaves without a car or does not buy from the same dealer twice.
