 (EMAILWIRE.COM, December 20, 2011 ) Fort Myers, FL -- Harvey Software, Inc. announced today it will release the National Carrier Update of its Computerized Parcel System (CPS™) shipping software, which will take effect on January 2, 2012. This newest version of CPS includes shipping features developed throughout 2011, plus updates to the carriers’ rate tables and improvements to existing features. The National Carrier Update will be available for download beginning December 27th at 11:00am EST and is distributed to all existing CPS users at no charge. This update is required for all current CPS CPS users with any version of the CPS. Since CPS is multiple carrier shipping software, the update helps ensure that all CPS users are in compliance with the carriers’ requirements and that the rates reported in CPS are accurate and current.
“CPS requires updates annually because of changes to the carrier rate tables, shipping labels, data upload requirements and new service additions. We also take the opportunity to include new features as well as improvements to existing features while we update carrier related components,” said Terry Kennedy, VP of Alliance Marketing at Harvey Software. “We do want to emphasize the importance of this update to all of our customers. Since a central CPS feature is to shop rates among the carriers, it is essential those rates be current and accurate. We allow a week-long window to accommodate companies’ holiday schedules, and we design the update to be easy to download and install,” concluded Mr. Kennedy.
