(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 13, 2012 ) Asheville, NC -- Viper Motorcycle Co. has announced that it will soon have a two new stores and a dealership in Texas. To accomplish this, the motorcycle maker has signed up Javelina Harley-Davidson and Gruene Harley-Davidson to be its “Gold Dealers” in the Lone Star State.
The two dealerships are owned by the Gottsacker family. Viper VP of Marketing and Racing Operations Colbert Seagraves said Viper is pleased to join forces with the Gottsackers. “The Gottsacker family has been in the motorcycle business for over 25 years and own two of the top-performing Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country. Their NHRA racing endeavor, Gottspeed Racing with Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Michael Ray, will help us move forward with our future plans to race the Viper/Ilmor Mamba," said Seagraves.
Rugger Gottsacker said that his family was likewise looking forward to working with Viper. "I flew to Auburn [Ala.] with Paul and Michael Ray to see the Viper facility and to ride the Diamondback. After taking a test ride we were all impressed with the handling and power of the motorcycle. We were impressed at seeing the facility and the quality that goes into every Diamondback. In addition, we spent some quality time with Andrew Broadley, Viper Technical Director, discussing some of the racing technology that goes into the bike build. Viper has built a motorcycle that fits a niche market for the enthusiast that wants the power of the Viper/Ilmor engine, great handling, one-off custom look, dependability, built into a machine with an OEM feel," said Gottsacker.
