(Transportation-News.com, July 31, 2012 ) Wilmington, NC -- Mazda has announced that it is tinkering with something that needs not much tinkering: its Mazda3. The small, affordable car has been near the top of nearly every list of top cars since it first hit the market a few years back.
Of course, only time will tell just how popular these changes will be. It would be awful if the automaker changes such a popular car too much. The 2013 Mazda3 will be offered in six trims: the i SV, i Sport, i Touring, i Grand Touring, s Touring, and s Grand Touring. While at first glance, deciphering all of these trims may be confusing, but the basic breakdown is simple enough. The “s” vehicles have more horsepower and, not surprisingly, lower mile-per-gallon ratings, while the “i” Mazda3's have higher mpg ratings and move horsepower.
With the 2013 model year, all of the Maxda3's will have standard air-conditioning. Previously, the base I SV trim did not come with air conditioning.
Prices for the yet-to-be released 2013 Mazda3's have yet to be released.
