  • Ronnie OÂ’SullivanÂ’s Withdrawal from World Tournament Intrigues Mark Allen reports Monster Break Billiards

(Transportation-News.com, November 01, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- Mark Allen has been the first to ask of Ronnie O’Sullivan’s withdrawal from the World Snooker’s tournament in China.

The competition was marked as the flagship even in the country, held in Chengdu, and offers world ranking points that are on par with the U.K. Championship. The first prize was set at $240,000.

According to sources, O’Sullivan had to withdraw on medical grounds. Jason Ferguson, World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association chairman, stated that it was a ‘huge disappointment’ for the supports within China.

Allen is among the title contenders, even after a passport blunder, wrote on a social media site, “So Ronny pulls out of China again!! Thoughts?”

He later added “Don’t understand why he enters though. If he doesn’t wanna play don’t enter. It affects draws, rankings, sponsors, seedings and all.”

The condition of O’Sullivan has not been disclosed; however, he was capable of playing an exhibition against Jimmy White in Liverpool on Thursday.

Allen does have a history of medical affliction, suffering from a glandular fever which caused him to pull out of the Haikou World Open in China. He was forced to pull out of the PTC final in Ireland for the same reason.

Allen has been vocal about his disdain for the heavy schedule and travel demands that weighs heavy on all players of the game.

Despite his winning in Germany, O’Sullivan has slipped down the ranking due to time taken off, and will fall again for failing to find his way to China.
