(Transportation-News.com, May 26, 2013 ) England, UK -- Aviva and More Than were two top performers in a recent Qubit poll for UK car insurers, scoring 76% with customer satisfaction. Admiral was the lowest scoring insurance company, with only 56% satisfaction.
Qubit used a trichotomy system with a framework of three different stages: “Find, Choose and Buy”. It divides the use journey by evaluating the customer search, stages the analysis information available, and examines the checkout process where the customer completes an online transaction with a car insurance company.
Overall, car insurers achieved the highest scores in the buy stage, at an 81% average compared to an average of 59% at the Choose stage.
In the Find stage, RAC was given the highest rating, a 76%. This stage assesses the layout of the sites, which includes the easiness of searching and logging in, as well as how easy it was to find and redeem promotions that were listed on the website. Admiral was only given an average score of 53%, mainly because of its terrible use of breadcrumbs and poor layout.
In the Choose stage, More Than was the winner with an overall satisfaction of 76%. Swiftcover was the lowest scoring company in this category with only 42% satisfaction. Sites were given analysis on how well the website aided customer decision. Other factors included search inquiries with competitive and reliable results and a prominent call to action on top of user reviews posted on the website.
Lastly, the Buy stage analyzed the checkout process, and More Than came up victorious again, with a satisfaction rate of 85%.
Overall, the car companies did provide a satisfactory rating in the categories, and, aside from RAC, all websites offered consumers a progress bar that allows them to see how far along they are in the process, and how much farther they have left until a transaction is complete.
