  • Testing Shows Motorcycle Air Horn As Loud As A Siren

(, June 02, 2015 ) Clearwater, Florida -- "This air horn is really loud," says PrimeEffects CEO, Philip Jepsen. "No doubt about it. It's small, but it makes as much volume as an emergency response vehicle. Riders everywhere have reported this horn has likely saved their lives, making them heard by car drivers who weren't paying attention." According to Mr. Jepsen their Screaming Banshee Electric Air Horn is loud enough to be heard up to three blocks away.

PrimeEffects is the distributors of the Screaming Banshee Air Horn. PrimeEffects is a Clearwater based company that deals in quality products within specific industries. Mr. Jepsen describes the Screaming Banshee Air Horn as being designed specifically for motorcycles and scooters, though it can be adapted for any application that uses an electric horn system. The horn is a small, electric unit that is placed in line with the existing horn and light system. "Our Screaming Banshee horn also flashes the motorcycle's headlights," says Mr. Jepsen. "When you press the button the high beams are brought into play, which adds an additional, visual cue to the sonic warning. Give it a short press to activate the normal horn, or hold it down and activate the whole system. That will blast them with the super loud, pulsing horn -- 130 decibels, louder than a siren -- and flash them with the high beams."

Mr. Jepsen says the Screaming Banshee Air Horn comes with everything needed for installation. He says it can be wired to replace the existing horn, or, the more common use, installed in-line as an additional horn. In this case a short press will use the normal horn; a longer press will activate the loud warning horn, which has variable sound and rapidly flashes the high beams. "This horn is easy to connect and mount," he says. "The Screaming Banshee was developed by motorcycle riders for motorcycle riders."

The Screaming Banshee Air Horn is wired directly in-line with the motorcycle battery, reports Mr. Jepsen, for reliable activation and power. It was designed and built for durability and years of reliable use. According to Mr. Jepsen the Screaming Banshee Air Horn comes with a one year full warranty, and in addition to including the parts needed for installation, the package also includes a full installation PDF document, with links to an installation video.

"The horn is small and really blends in with the mechanical components of the bike," he says. "Once installed it's pretty hard to notice, as it fits naturally into the frame in the engine area. Having one of these could definitely save your life."

The Screaming Banshee Air Horn by PrimEffects is available on Amazon.
