(Transportation-News.com, July 01, 2015 ) Orlando, Florida -- Recently, Rettun.com the online retail company that sells the Premium Steering Wheel Cover, published a blog post written at their website. It is a blog post that discussed the connection people had with their steering wheels.
CEO Thomas Nutter shares, "The steering wheel can in fact become anyone's soul mate. It can become that someone who will anybody's gripes, listen to someone sing badly when their favorite tune plays on the radio. It also can take the brunt of a telephone argument, or somebody cutting someone up on the road when it's smashed against someone's arms."
The blog post was prompted after reading a similar blog post from a nurse. After speaking to the blog author, he had this to say. "A few nights ago I was reading an article from a nurse who explained the stresses they endure when on a 12 hour shift. They bottle everything in, and once the shift is finished they go to the car and break down on the steering wheel".
At first look, he had these thoughts, "Seriously, a full length blog post about a steering wheel?". However, once he started to read the blog, it became evident to him that steering wheels are more than just circular structures hanging on the dashboards of people's cars.
He continued, "As our latest product release is the steering wheel cover, it really got me thinking. I never thought about people having such a close connection with a part of their vehicle. But I sat back and had a good think and I suppose we all have a secret relationship with a non-human object at some point in our lives. I suppose when all is said and done they have a point. I think the part that really hit home with me was when the author explains how in the days of owning an old vehicle, he would pat the steering wheel gently after a long journey in appreciation of the said vehicle holding out on the trip. The times I have done that myself, I've lost count."
