The Screaming Banshee is a compact, electric air horn that connects in-line with the existing motorcycle or scooter horn system and mounts in any small, available space of approximately 4 by 5 inches. The Screaming Banshee air horn is designed to supplement the existing horn, adding additional, high volume that can be called on in an emergency to draw attention to the rider. When activated it emits a warbling variable pulse that reaches 130 decibels, which is louder than an average siren. Upon activation it also triggers the flashing of the motorcycle's high beams, adding a visual component to the audio. The Screaming Banshee installs either in-line with the existing horn system, or can be installed as a separate horn.
"The Screaming Banshee gets you the attention you need to be safe," says Mr. Jepsen. "It can be heard inside a closed cabin up to three blocks away -- more than enough to get other drivers looking for the noise. When they do they'll immediately see the flashing high beams, and by then they should be thoroughly aware of your presence."
