(Transportation-News.com, August 03, 2012 ) Phoenix, AZ -- It is still the summer of 2012. Car shoppers should not know too much about the 2014 Mazda6 just yet. They like surprises; they are willing to wait.
Mazda agrees. The carmaker is more than happy to keep most of its hand hidden. However, the cards that it is willing to show to the car-buying public are mighty cards indeed. One of the most exciting things they've announced about the 2014 Mazda6 is that it will use regenerative braking.
Thus far, regenerative braking has been primarily used in hybrid vehicles as a way to charge electric motors each time the vehicles' brakes are applied. However, the Mazda6 is a gas-powered animal so the power its regenerative braking system generates will be stored in capacitors and then used to power the vehicle's electrical systems.
