According to many people associated with the business, receiving payments from the customers and debt excuses has become an increasingly popular issue in the capital of United Arab Emirates.
Recently, a car rental firm in Abu Dhabi has claimed that it is owed around one million Dhs in payments from its customers and has lodged twenty cases with the courts of the capital of United Arab Emirates.
While giving an interview to 7daysindubai.com, one of the representatives of the company said that some of the customers in Abu Dhabi rent a new car every month as they like to enjoy different luxury cars to avoid boredom, despite the fact that they can buy a good and competitive car with that money.
However, when the rental firm asks for the payment, the car drivers come up with all kinds of excuses which are hurting the company.
“We have one driver who owes Dhs140, 000, another one just paid up Dhs160, 000 because it was Ramadan and he wanted to clear his debts. The situation is crazy. They could afford to buy a good car for that, but they want to rent a new car every month because they get bored. There is nothing else we can do. They take a car a month, get bored with it, take another one. Some of the wealthy drivers we deal with simply can’t operate unless they have a different luxury car each month but when it comes to paying, they come up with every excuse.” The representative of the rental car firm said.
This new case of non-payments to the rental firm emerged only a week after 7Days reported about an Egyptian woman who had appear in the courts of Abu Dhabi for the accusation of non-payment of Dhs. 300,000 on her four sports cars.
