(Transportation-News.com, September 08, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA – Nissan is about to release information on its newest addition, the 2013 Sentra. They promise that the new Sentra will have an upgrade across the board, ranging from the car’s transmission to its better fuel efficiency. The automaker has been able to do a pretty good job with the upgrading of the car’s interior and refinement, adding new technology and increasing the economy of the fuel. The improvements, while not very surprising, are very impressive nonetheless.
Nissan has been conservative in its work on the exterior of the car as they went with their tried and tested designs of the Altima. The new trapezoid-shaped grill and LED-wrapped headlights are very similar to that of Altima. The car has been trimmed in terms of its weight as well and has lost about 150 pounds or five percent from its predecessor. The interior included a Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system available for the first time in a Sentra. It also includes the new version of the Nissan Connect with navigation. The navigation is available with Pandora and Hands-Free Text Messaging.
The car packs a punch under hood with the new DOHC 1.8 litre four cylinder engine mated with a brand new Xtronic CVT transmission that is lighter in weight and not to mention more efficient as well. The combination of the engine and the new Xtronic CVT transmission with the addition of 130 horsepower and a 128 pound-feet of torque with the economy the car delivers it is a catch. The car gives almost 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. The car has not been test driven yet but from the improvements that the car brings it is going to be a pleasure to be able to drive it in the near future.
