JD Powers & Associates have also released information showing that there has been a slight increase in 2011 in purchases of small cars, due to gas prices and lower overall cost.
Some analysts had predicted the "death of the 7 passenger vehicle" especially as the recession began, but facts now show that families like their their large vehicles. Typical features that attract buyers include carrying up to eight passengers, V6 or V8 engine, three zone climate control, MP3 player input, XM satellite radio, plenty of storage spaces, front fog lights, and luxury upgrade options.
Families are still looking for safety, low cost and 7 passenger vehicles with good gas mileage. 4x4 vans and SUVs are just as popular as vans, but safety and gas mileage is cited as a priority among buyers.
